AOTY #15 Nine Inch Nails - Bad Witch

These EPs have all been great. He hasn't lost any of his one of a kind knack for really immersing you in the music and saying a lot with sometimes the simplest words. It really makes you feel the darkness in society today. However you feel about this release, there's no question that Trent (with Atticus now), continues to push and challenge. I appreciate it so much for showing me that an artist in (in spite of) the music business, can continue to grow and maintain relevance well into his 50s.

AOTY #18. Suuns - Felt

These guys are trully underrated. This Art Rock band is offering a very individual compelling songwriting. It takes a few listens to get what they are doing as the songs are often so loose that they are difficult to latch onto. One of the most talented bands of the decade, surely.

Tropical Fuck Storm

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Tropical Fuck Storm channel the broody and menacing sound of Nick Cave as well as leader Gareth Liddiard's previous band, the Drones.
TROPICAL FUCK STORM ARE MORE THAN JUST YOUR AVERAGE SUPERGROUP.

ps. Probably one of the best albums for this year.

Balothizer

Balothizer is an electric power trio founded in London at the late 2016 from bass player and vocalist Pavlos Mavromatakis and lute player Nikos Ziarkas, later the line up was completed with drummer Steve Bongo. The concept was captured due to their shared passion of Cretan music and their need to create something else through this Greek tradition.

Bulbul

Austrian noise-rock band. Initially a one-man band, formed by Raumschiff Engelmayr that later transformed into a trio. They recorded a new longplayer (TR 085, 2002) and started to tour europe disguised as chickens, ladies or sunflowers. Due to many live cooperations with leonid soybelman (ne zhdali, kletka red), kknull (zeni geva), dieb13, franz hautzinger a.o. from the jazz/noise scene, the electroexperimental label mego caught some attention and did the "12" maxi „drabule“ (mego 66, 2004).

Giannis Aggelakas & Giogros Xylouris

Give a chance to something that you never heard yet and you will never hear again. Feel the energy from these great really great Greek artists that puts the Greek music to an other level beyond our imagination (at list mine)!

Giannis Aggelakas is a Greek singer, songwriter and poet. He maintains a productive solo career since 2000 having experimented with Greek Folk Music and collaborated with lots of artist. In my opinion his music is from an other planet make me believe that there is still hope in Greek music. Giannis Aggelakas really cant make bad music. Everything is above average! Here i will give his whole new album. Enjoy

Xylouris plays the lute as a solo instrument, in contrast to the traditional accompaniment role the lute has in Cretan music. Normally in an ensemble the laouto provides the rhythmic backing to the lyra. In this role Giorgos is peerless. In the less usual role of lead instrument he has made the laouto a melodic instrument to frame and adorn song. Xylouris has performed extensively both in his native Crete, in his second home Australia, and internationally at world music festivals, collaborating with musicians from both folk and rocktraditions. This is Greek Metal people !
